Roman Vexillarius - Legio X Gemina Centurion - 1:6 Scale Figure
This 1:6 scale Roman Vexillarius Centurion from Legio X Gemina comes complete with a host of accessories many of which are made of die cast metal.
The "Vexillarius" carried the banners of the Legion. In this case the banner of Legio X Gemina.
The figure comes with real metal helmet, and two swords. The banner staff is also topped with metal decoration. The figure wears red tunic, simulated mail armour and rubber molded wolves skin wrap. other accessories include shield, sandals and belt.
Legio X Gemina, the twin legion, was one of the four legions used by Julius Caesar in 58 BC, for his invasion of Gaul.
In the Gallic wars, X Equestris played an important role on Caesar's military success and for this reason is sometimes said to be his favourite. In Caesar's campaigns they were present in the battle against the Nervians, the invasions of Britain, and the siege of Gergovia. They remained faithful to Caesar in the civil war against Pompey, being present in the battles of Pharsalus (49 BC) and Munda (45 BC).
